CHEF MODERN APPRENTICESHIP

Aims and objectives

To provide people working within the hospitality industry the opportunity to gain qualifications for the skills and knowledge they already possess.

Many of the people working within this industry have gained industry experience and skills while working on the job. This course will provide you with the opportunity to gain formal qualifications and gain the extra knowledge necessary to formalise your skills with the nationally recognised qualification of a National Certificate in Hospitality (Cookery) Level 3/4. This part time programme is run over three years, with formal training delivered one day per week at our Hastings campus. During the year, our tutors will visit you onsite at your workplace to complete assessments for the work you do in your normal day to day employment. These assessments will include food hygiene, knife handling, food preparation and presentation, all things you do in your normal daily routine.

Ring for an appointment to discuss this opportunity further. Should you require support to explain these studies with your employer, this can be arranged when we talk through your training plan at a formal interview.
