Enrolment Process
Once you have made your choice of study options. Please get in touch with the college at international@futurecol.co.nz expressing your desire to study at FutureCOL. FutureCOL will then assess and advice you on your validity to resume application and continue with the enrolment process.

 

Terms and Conditions of Enrolment at FutureCOL

Basis of contract
A completed FutureCOL Application Form, forms the basis of a contract between you as the applicant and FutureCOL. Upon your acceptance, your place is reserved at our college. When you have received a Conditional Offer of Place from FutureCOL, it will remain conditional until you have paid your fees in full and the fees have been received by FutureCOL.

There are a limited number of places available at FutureCOL. Therefore you are advised to apply early as applications will be accepted in the order in which they are received. FutureCOL reserves the right to accept or decline a student's application or to offer a different course or start date to a student.

Change of address or contact details
Students are required to notify FutureCOL reception immediately when their address or contact details change.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Recognition
If you think that you have the knowledge and skills being taught in a course prior to enrolling in the course, you may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). This may mean that you do not have to attend some classes and/or complete some course assessments. You may also be exempt from paying the corresponding course fees.

However, if you are offered RPL, you may have to complete assessments at FutureCOL or to obtain official documentation. You may be required to pay an RPL assessment fee. All enquiries about RPL should be discussed with FutureCOL's CEO. Credits for New Zealand unit standards that have been earned elsewhere are recognised by FutureCOL. You must present evidence of this on your Record of Learning when you start your course. You are not required to be assessed again for unit standards you have already been credited with. Alternative work, extension work or the opportunity to develop skills where extra work is needed may be given to you in these cases.

Code of Practice
FutureCOL has agreed to observe and be bound by the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students published by the New Zealand Ministry of Education, Copies of the Code are available on request from FutureCOL or from the New Zealand Ministry of Education website www.minedu.govt.nz/goto/international

Acceptable Use Policy for Computers and Information Technology
During orientation, students are required to sign a policy which defines the responsibilities of students when using the computing and information technology facilities provided by FutureCOL.

From time to time FutureCOL will post photographs, video records and written/spoken testimonials of students on the FutureCOL website, prospectus, newsletters and other mass media communication. It is FutureCOL's policy that any published items are positive depictions of students. Students' consent is sought before their information is used.

International Student Fee Refund Policy

DISCLAIMER

 This refund policy applies to international students and is subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Full refund
If FutureCOL is unable to provide the programme, all tuition fees are fully refunded.

Partial refund
If you withdraw from the course within the first eight days (i.e. seven days after the first day of the course) you will be refunded all course fees except 10% of the total fee or $500.00, whichever is the lesser of the two amounts. No refund If a student withdraws after more than the first eight days of the course starting, they will not be eligible for a refund of the tuition fee paid for the relevant semester.
