BUSINESS COMPUTING LEVEL 3
Aims and objectives
This part-time day course will provide learners with the opportunity to develop intermediate level computing skills that will assist in increasing their employment prospects or provide job satisfaction within their current employment position.
Learners with a working knowledge of computers will upskill in Microsoft business application software products. Learning will cover the different tips and techniques of the various packages. The programme is designed to promote competency, accuracy and efficiency. Content covers: operating and maintaining hardware, managing and protecting data, word processing, spreadsheets, database development and management, power point presentation, publications, using scheduling software for appointments, timekeeping, and email.

Entry criteria
To gain benefit from this course and manage the content, learners need to have a sound working knowledge of computers. In order to gain the required proficiency learners will also need to practice lessons and develop speed in their own time. A brief aptitude test is available for learners who are unsure if their skills are at the required level.
